Data- the values or categories recorded for each variable
Variable- any characteristic of an observational unit that can be recorded and studies, and that has some variation
Observational Unit- the person or thing from which data is being collected
Variability- the trend of a variable to have different values for different observational units
Quantitative- a variable that has a number, for which there are numerous possibilities
Categorical- a variable that has a designation given to it, for which there are a set number of possibilities
Binary- a categorical variable for which there are only two possible categories
